José Manuel FERNANDEZ

José Manuel has an overall and wide professional experience of more than 25 years in the field of industry in directive and management functions: Quality, Production, Health and Safety, Environment and Eco-efficiency, Energy management, Research and Development, Purchasing, Risk Management, Commercial, Marketing and Training. His professional experience was developed in an international environment in 18 countries in 3 continents: Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Canada, Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, England, Northern Ireland and South Africa.

In the Portuguese group SONAE, he leaded relevant global projects related to Risk Management (operational and enterprise-wide); industrial manufacturing products reallocations in the European production plants; Iberia energy -oil and electricity- sourcing for the industrial group; implementation of environmental and H&S tools for law appraisal status and internal audits. José Manuel actively participated in the development of marketing plans for Canada, South Africa, Brazil and Spain as well as the Iberian products and services rebranding process.

For a couple of years, José Manuel worked for the Galician Government as Head of Information, Training, Promotion and Studies at the Wood Technological Centre CIS-Madera.
In the last years, part of his experience was developed as Associate Consultant at ARMSA UK in the energy sector, combined with his dedication as the Commercial and Organizational Development Manager (Business Projects) & Partner at KEMEGAL chemical company.
In addition, José Manuel was awarded by the Xunta de Galicia in the field of environmental preservation in 1995. José Manuel founded the Galician Interim Management Association VALOREA in 2018 being its president till 2019.

José Manuel, is able to work in dynamic and fast-changing scenarios, performing with versatility, enjoying working with multi-discipline and cultural-diverse teams, especially in international environments, with ability to travel extensively. Capabilities for negotiation, analytics and skills for innovation, communication, organization, strategy and planning, continuous improvement, strongly oriented to set objectives and achieve results through constancy, perseverance, persistence and commitment.
Since the beginning of 2020, he has joint Axperia Ventures offices in Spain, as an Associate Partner, to reinforce our presence in the environmental and energies technologies sectors.

He has a sound academic background. He holds a Ph. D. Chemical Sciences (University of Santiago de Compostela), a Master in Coaching and Emotional Intelligence (University of Salamanca), a MBA (Caixanova Business School-Vigo), a BSc. in Chemistry Sciences (University of Santiago de Compostela) and a Chemical Engineering (University La Salle, Mexico CDMX), with several relevant courses in different management fields.
